NEW CAR SALES IN SEPTEMBER
AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY OF KAZAKHSTAN: PRODUCTION IN SEPTEMBER INCREASED BY 15.1%

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in September 2025, 13,021 units of vehicles were produced in the country, with a total value of 180 billion tenge. Production volumes in September 2025 increased by 15.1% compared to September 2024. In September 2025, 11,642 passenger cars, 748 trucks, 293 buses, 290 semi-trailers and trailers, and 48 units of other special equipment were manufactured.
In total, for the first nine months of 2025, 109,223 units of vehicles worth 1.5 trillion tenge were produced in Kazakhstan, compared to 93,360 units a year earlier (+17%). The share of the automobile industry in the country’s mechanical engineering sector stands at 40.6%.
Anar MAKASHEVA, President of KAU: «The Kazakhstan automobile industry continues to demonstrate record results. New competencies are being developed, domestic companies are actively investing in growth, expanding production capacities, and creating jobs. These are not one-time successes but the result of consistent work that strengthens the industrial base and economic resilience of the country. As a result, citizens now have more opportunities to upgrade their vehicles and choose modern, locally produced models».
According to the data from Kazakhstan Automobile Union (KAU), the Kostanay region (Allur) remains the leader, with 61,501 units produced (+11.6%). In Almaty (Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan, Hyundai Trans Almaty), a total of 42,684 passenger and commercial vehicles were produced (+44.3%). In Semey (SemAZ, Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan) - 3,442 units of commercial equipment (-20.2%). In the Karaganda region (QazTehna) - 1,371 units (+36%). In Kokshetau (KAMAZ-Engineering) - 932 units of commercial vehicles (+11.4%).
The top five most popular brands for January–September 2025 (including exports) were: Hyundai (38,968 units), Chevrolet (21,566 units), Kia (19,060 units), Jetour (10,180 units), and Jac (8,483 units). By model, the highest production volumes were for: Chevrolet Cobalt (17,706 units), Hyundai Tucson (15,416 units), Kia Sportage (8,918 units), Hyundai Mufasa (6,416 units), and Hyundai Elantra (5,654 units).
